Fab Finds... Straw Bags

I visited the Market again today; the usual relaxed atmosphere had become much more busy and active with the arrivals of cruise ship passengers who were seeking to enjoy themselves for a few hours while on the island. However, I wasn't there for leisure, I was attending a graduation at the hotel's convention centre across the street from the Market. I did get a chance to venture over there once the ceremony had ended and came across these cute handbags.

I always liked straw work and found the intricate details in these crafts to be simply beautiful. The Market is littered with stalls and stores that sell things like these. It's always quite fun to shop around there.

Monthly Faves: September

Okay so, I've decided to begin posting monthly faves (yay!); I'll gather up all the wonderful things I come across each month that share them with you guys.

Old Fashioned Entertainment... Taino Beach, Freeport

Despite living here on the island, this is actually the first regatta I've had the opportunity to go to. It's held on Taino Beach this year which isn't too far from where I live so it wasn't much trouble getting there. The food and drinks, and the atmosphere were very pleasant. There weren't too much people (which was entirely okay with me), but those who were, provided great company.

Meet Jalan, currently an art major at the local college here in Freeport and a good friend of mine. For as long as I can remember, she's always had such interesting style; one that, I must say, fits her personality perfectly. She's definitely not your average Bahamian extrovert.

Well, today, I ran into her heading to my English class. It's always a joy seeing what outfit she puts together each week, moreover, les accessoires.
