Anything but horror and sci-fi, really.

Ciao!

On my connecting flight from Cincinnati to Arlington, the airline served us drinks. I really wasn't in any mood for a cup of water (I had been been drinking bottles of it all day), and was more than pleased when this lovely combination came to mind. The tonic makes it taste alcoholic so there's really no need to put any in there unless you really want to treat yourself.

So it's my second day in the Tri-state and I have to day it's been quite a long day. I basically walked every inch of DC, got lost, discovered a short nifty cut and from Arlington to Old Town Alexandria, met Abe Lincoln, sat on the President's doorstep (not really, but I was close enough)... and then fell in love with this place.

This is gonna be good.

So the other day I found this floating around in my mom's closet. It's an Idea Nuovo vest that's three times too large for me. I may get it tailored... maybe even wear it one day. ;)

So, it's 10:52pm and I still haven't packed for my flight in the morning.

Outstanding.

It's been a while since I've done any major shopping. Here in The Bahamas, there aren't a lot of the bigger designer clothing stores like Urban OutfittersZaraHennes & MauritzF21 etc. I know a lot of you would probably wonder how I survive, but it's not as bad as it sounds. The Bahamas does have a great deal to offer when it comes to fashion!

It's just lately I've been feeling the need to update my wardrobe. My endless supply of skinny jeans, racerbacks, and last years winter wardrobe isn't gonna cut it anymore.

In the next two days, DC's shopping district is going to love me.
A plus tard!

This is Adam, a sophomore at FU. This one is a funny story actually. At Our Lucaya last week, I caught sight of this lovely gentlemen. A friend of mine pointed him out to me and we got to chatting after he caught me sneaking photos. (No, I don't usually take strangers photos without their permission, but I couldn't resist.)

He seemed confused at first then offered to strike a few poses. I always enjoy mingling with tourists.

I mentioned in my earlier post that I find myself hanging around at the beach more often. There's this real nice spot that I've been going to for years now and only continue to adore the beauty of this place. It's actually a resort where most of the tourist who visit the island stay.

If you're ever in Freeport, make sure to stop by for a visit.

Well, summer has long since begun and, of course, I find myself settled at the beach more than usual. Apart from the scorching temperatures and occasional spells of intolerable humidity (some would say that's what they like most), I always enjoyed the summer season. The overall atmosphere and seemingly uniformed change in pace of everyday life during this season just seems to do it for me. For us here in The Bahamas, summers call for the occasional hurricane or two, but personally, I try not to worry too much at all.

Besides all that, I find the summer a great photo taking season. The season's top fashion, fantastic cuisine and and the beauty of the human body come out in full effect, and it's then when we're free to let loose.

A couple years ago, I developed a sudden interest in blogging. It came with a great deal of spontaneity, however, it seems that I just couldn't find the time to actually start one. Although I wouldn't consider my self a 'true blogger' (at least not yet), I do like the idea of having one.

One thing that frequently crossed my mind, though, especially when reading great blogs like Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist and Garance Doré (two of my top blog addictions for the past two years now), is how do they come up with all that good stuff? Schuman, for the most part, speaks through photographs of his daily sightings and Garance, too, lets her photos do most of the talking. Up until recently, I realized that they don't blog about what they think people want to hear (or see, in their cases). They find things they love, things they admire, things that interest them and share it with the world.

Now... that doesn't seem too difficult for me to do.
